Was wondering if anybody could help me please...looking at buying a mk1 focus as a first car. Would a 1.6 petrol or 1.8 TDi (it's a 99/00 before the TDCi's we about) be better for long distance travellng? I'm going to be doing alot if commuting with my job around 600 miles on a bad week, which would you recommend for everyday life... i.e. insurance, tax, service cost's and what to look out for whilst looking at cars and espcially on these models.
Any help would be grately appriciated
