Why not try "Avast". It seems very good, is favourably reviewed and it's free.

Avira is good and free,iv'e tried all the free ones.

Have used most free and paid ones over the years but now I use the free version of AVG. Cant complain when its free.

I also use malwarebytes for checking for additional malware on the system.
