I have lost my keys at work. It is a Cougar with deadlocks. My friend is a mechanic and he tried to gain entry, the Police tried to gain entry and neither could - the security system seems to do its job well!

It looks like a broken window is the only option. The only problem is, what then!? How do I go about removing the old locks, fitting new ones and getting a new ignition fitted? My friend would do the work, but anyone have a clue on the cost of the parts and the labour it will take.....I'm not expexcting it to be pretty!

hi there i might be a bit late for you but you dont need to replace the locks, the door barrell in your car is the standard ford tumbler lock and this can by opened by any moblie locksmith and most good loksmiths have a computer for prgramming keys, and its a lot cheaper than taking it to the dealer,

contact a ford main dealer take with you the log book and they can get you a replacement key by using you ch{Bad Word: Moderated}is number, will probably cost you around £100 though
