Hi everyone. I've just bought a 96 P-Reg Fiesta LX Diesel 1.8, 78000 miles. Want to do a bit of maintanence just to give it a bit of a spring clean, so wanted to change the oil (the oil level's a bit low, but i want to do a complete change). Anyway, a friend of mine bought some oil for his car a few weeks back, some Castrol Edge Turbo Diesel 5W40, but didnt realise that he'd bought diesel oil instead of petrol, and by the time he did he'd lost the receipt. So, he's very kindly given me the stuff for a tenner (he bought it for £40!!). But I want to know if it's definitely OK for my car, as it says it's suitable for VW, BMW, Mercedez-Benz & Reneault diesel cars, but not Ford. Plus, it says turbo diesel , and my fiesta isn't. I bought it anyway as I didn't think I could go far wrong buying £40 worth of oil for £10, but just wanted to check it's definitely OK to use. I'm a complete novice when it comes to car/engine maintanence. Thanks.

Fine to use it
