Hi
Husand is in process of putting a new water pump on a 57 fiesta 1.4 and has jsut realised that the timing belt is probably impacted by this. Is this true ?, he now thinks this is a bigger job than he can handle !!! - he recently put a new engine in is shogun and my sisters Zafira so surely a water pump on a fiesta is easier ??

All advice welcome, as he is now in the garage totally bewildered !!!
help
Janet

Hi
Thanks for response, yes its the later model with the tensioner attached to the water pump, he is fixing it for the lad next door who bought the wrong pump for it, thats why husband was confused as the pump he had to put on did not have the tensioner on it, but when he looked in the engine he realised that the tensioner was impacted.
Anyway not been able to get hold of one over bank holiday ... so next doors car is now lying on my driveway until we can get hold of a correct pump !
He is still not 100% comfortable replacing it but now he has started he has to finish ! ( he is very pedantic so I am sure everything will be ok .... she says)

Watch this space :?

All done, and back on the road...............knew he would do it, even though he thought he couldn't.
Had to buy the pump from a main dealer as no where else stocked it !

Thanks
Janet :D
