In the mornings my escort wont stay alive unless i keep the revs up.
The car was stood for 6 months before i bought it cheap off a friend. I have been running it daily now for 3 months.
It will just idle real rough and stall instantly when i try to start her up. when i have to go to work i have to dip the clutch keep the revs up and use the handbake to slow down when coming up to junctions or roundabouts.
Once the engine gets warmer it gets better and after a few miles its perfect.
Then when i finsh work the cycle has to start all over again and its really really ticking me off!!!!

Please help me guys, i know this is my first post but i really am desperate!

Hi, my guess would be the ecu temperature sensor, it's a sensor in the coolant that tells the ecu if the engine is hot or cold and adjust the mixture as necessary. You can get the fault codes read to confirm.

That is another possibility egr (exhast gas recycle valve) if stuck open will give similar symptoms although will probably be problematic when hot too. Get your codes read to see what it throws up.
