Hi.
I'm getting my mk3 mondeo ready for its MOT and have notice the offside wheel turns just while the handbrake is on.
the near side grips ok .
any ideas please.

yes mate you have the mondeo curse its quite a easy fix just get up under the rear of car the side thats not working and you will see a spring thats attached to a bar which goes into the rear calirper
these get stuck due to dirt all you need to do is spray carefully wd40 onto the lever where it goes into the caliper and have someone in the car pulling your handbreak up and down you may find a pair of mole grips helps pull the lever up and down or in and out that goes into the caliper
this should eventually free the locked handbreak and give you an even break distribution once free grease up and hey presto best of luck dougie

if that has no effect then the cable will be siezed and it a fairly easy replace as they are sided. just have to drop the exhaust off the rubbers take the heat shielding off and you will see the cable and to unclip the ends and replace i got one from eurocar parts for £13 but as the previous post said i to had to then do the caliper unsticking job.
