during normal driving conditions i get almost complete loss of power and the glow plug light flashes,sometimes if you turn off the engine and switch back on everything is ok.this may happen several times in one journey or not at all for days.also does anybody know of a good machanic in the bristol area. forgot to state my car is a st tdci.any help would be appreciated...

My ST TDCi has had the same fault. Cl{Bad Word: Moderated}ic symptoms of a failed EGR valve. Mine is on its 3rd! How old is the car? Still under warrenty? If so get them to fix it! If not I think it is a very easy job to do but Ford will want loads for it!
