Hi i have a mondeo 1.8 petrol LX estate (Y) 2001 when i try and start the car i just hear clicking from the drivers door lock and the alarm light on the dash clock flashes with each click could anybody tell me what i have done or doing wrong or what i can do too fix this problem thanx, tony.

Hi, it sounds to me that it is a flat battery but I may be wrong! Does it start up?

i'd say the same sounds like you need a new battery

Hi it was the battery had it on charge all day and it started first time thanx for the replys, tony.

Hi Try doing a diagnostic check on the car yourself for the error code:

Hold in Milage reset button
turn key to ignition
release when you here the bleep
the will allow you 17 options to scroll through
scroll through until you reach the dnst function.
