I have an early 2003 Mondeo TDCI with full ford service history and 63000 miles on the clock. When I start the car (more in the mornings) the diesel knock is louder than it should be. If I drive the car around town and put my foot down the glow plug light flashes and the turbo kicks out. If I drive the car on the motorway and put my foot down the car will stall and glow plug light flashes (not good at 70mph). If I drive the car normally and don't boot it, it drives ok. Up to now I have changed the cam sensor, checked for any loose wiring or damaged hoses (air & vacuum). I have also cleaned my ERG valve and air induction manifold. The black gunk that was sticking to the inside was unbelievable, like S**T on a blanket. I also check that none of the hoses where collapsing when I revved the balls of the car. When I changed down the gears even when the car is revving high, the light won't come on. I know the previous owner had 2 injectors replaced at ford 18 months ago. I have also put the car on 2 mobile fault readers but because the fault clears itself when you turn the ignition off they have not read any codes. I did perform the self test on the dash board and got the following codes; p148 (Generic) fuel delivery malfunction, P200 (gen) injector circuit open, P300 (gen) random/multiple cylinder misfire, P400 (gen) EGR flow malfunction.

I was hoping that the injectors’ just need recoding, the car is booked in to my local ford specialist (not dealer) on Saturday and I would prefer to go in slightly armed with some information. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated, Steve.
