hello all, my missus has a 2001 ka luxury which has a few problems and wondering if anyone can help :D

1. it has remote central locking, and when you press the botton to open, it will open the drivers side and lock straight away. the p{Bad Word: Moderated}enger door will only open from the handle inside, and once the door is open it will keep locking and unlocking until the door is closed.

2. when you switch the headlights on, the headlights work as normal but none of the green dash lights come on or the tail lights.

3. there is a switch hanging down by the ashtray, it has no front on it but has a green and orange led on it. i have checked all the switches and they are all present and working. the only place i can find a space for it is next to the radio. i have looked at other ka's and the only thing that i can find which goes there is a front foglight switch, but the only ka's which came with front fogs was the street and the sport :?

thanks in advance :D

1. Open the front door and disconnect the door wiring harness.
2. Check the wiring harness and the connector on the A-pillar for corrosion or damage. l Carefully clean any corroded pins in the connector. (If necessary, install new pins from the connector repair kit).

(Before removing the ground lead from the battery obtain radio code 1st)

3. Remove the front door trim
4. Remove the loudspeaker (four screws, one connector).
5. Remove the grommet for the door wiring harness.
6. Install the grommet. Seal the grommet with transparent silicone sealer
7. Apply contact grease to the door wiring harness contacts and connect the connector.
8. Repeat steps 1 to 7 for the other front door.
9. Connect the battery ground lead.
10. Check that the central locking and the electric window regulator work correctly.
11. Enter the radio keycode, program the pre-set radio stations and set the clock.
12. Install the remaining components in reverse order

I have had our ka luxury 2002 since it was 2 years old and the last few years our central locking does the same thing, point press remote to lock,, some times the lock unlocks sometimes it re locks, once i left it running (warming up) and the wind blew the door shut well it locked so i had no access to it so i tryed to put my foot on end of exhaust pipe no, still carried on running so i had to phone up the wife to bring spare keys,,Now if it plays up i walk away whether it locks or not..
