Had a 2005 1.6 Petrol Focus with 55k miles for a month or so now, and recently i noticed a noise when turning right.

If i steer the car ever so slightly right over 30 or so mph there is a dull droning noise which seems to come from the right hand side of the car, turn it further right and the noise seems to go, i dont get any noise when turning left.

Any clues?

Check the tyre wear pattern, around the outer edges in particular, for what's known as "cupping". This caused a very bad drone in my vehicle around 20mph, changed the tyres, nice and quiet again :)

The noise turned out to be a nsf wheel bearing, and was replaced under warranty!
