Hi,

I bought a 2000 Focus Zetec today, however the traction control light is on..

The dealer told me it was because the battery went flat, and it just needs reseting which I can get done for £20.. Is this correct, or is it something else?

Cheers,

Dan.

You can reset the ecu to default by disconnecting the battery for half an hour. May need to re-enter radio code.

How would I know the Radio Code I have is correct? And surely if the battery went flat and was charged up again thats is the same as disconnecting?

The battery rarely gets so flat that it resets the ecu.

What happens if I disconnect the battery, but then the code I have for the CD Player is wrong?
