Apparently the young lad tried to drive off in 1st but the car just dies and goes nowhere, same with reverse .
Its a mk1 yr 2000 1.6 petrol zetec .
After leaving it for an hour it started and drove ok .
We are puzzled and as we use it for work every day i am unsure about using it again just in case.
Sounds like the cat to me cos the exhaust rattles like buggery with nothing obviously loose but im not sure.
Theres a slight oily looking leak from the front
