When adaptive front lights or HID Bi-Xenon headlights are chosen LED rear lights are fitted. With this system, the light frm six centrally arranged and concealed red LED's is sent via vertical gl{Bad Word: Moderated} fibre conductors to the corresponding reflectors. The gl{Bad Word: Moderated} fibre conductors are intersected by horizontal crosspieces which reflect the light through 45 degrees to the exterior of the vehicle. The light for the turn signal lamp and stoplamp is generated by colour-coordinated bulbs (orange for turn signal, red for tail lamp and stoplamp). On the estate version, the rear lights also contain the bulbs for the rear fog light and reversing light. On the 5 door and 4 door versions, these are located in the rear bumper. Beware though, a complete new rear lamp must be fitted in the case of failure of the LEDs. Both versions (LED/Standard) are of a sealed design.
