 Post subject: Tyre sizes - Mk4 1995

When I brought my car, a couple of years ago, the tyres on it were 185/55 R14 however I have recently changed all 4 wheels for some second hand wheels. The tyres on these however are 185/60 R14.

Is this acceptable? And if not, will the old 185/55 R14 tyres fit the new alloys?

Grateful for anyones help with this.
