 Post subject: 98 fiesta heater problem

hi all sorry to dive straight in with a problem my son in law has got a 98 fiesta with no heater i have changed the thermostat and the coolant exchange valve but still only get cold air from the vents any advice on what to check next would be much appreciated.also what does the coolant valve do

Could be you have an air lock if not blocked heater matrix.

Same thing happened on my 99 fiesta , i tried lots of things and nothing worked but in the end i changed the heater control valve and that done the job :D
