I'm working on the enviable task of sprucing up a 92 Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet which I inherited off the brother in law. The engine seems sound enough but the body work is in need of a bit tlc. I am a complete novice at this, but I thought it sounded like a good idea at the time, besides my son was deadly keen on getting his hands dirty. so any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated, like where do I start? I would like to try and get the car on the road this summer if I can. I have managed to get a Haynes manual for it like so it won't be long before I'm a fully trained mechanic?

Good news Chrissy, now the nice weather has started to come I have took the cover of her and discovered I should be opening a pharmaceutical business soon. The mould is all over the inside of the car! Should get a few bob for the penicillin?
Lucky for me it just wiped off and there is no long term damage, but it seriously needs a good clean, which I'm planning on doing tomorrow.
